Late Night's Lead To... -P15

"I'm sorry ma'am, but you need to stand back and let the doctors do their jobs." Ma'am, step back!" What's happing…? Where I'm I…?

"NO! Oh…my…god! Tye!! Oh my god!! Help him!" Who was that?

"Someone get this girl out of here!" So much screaming…. There's too much noise… Ahhh….

"Can someone tell me what happened to this guy?! He looks like he barely escaped hell!" What did happen to that guy?

"Doctor, this man was apparently in a physical confrontation with someone we're yet to identify." Yet to identify? Who… "That girl over there witnessed it all and claims to know both the aggressor and the victim, but she also claims this man started the altercation."

I don't remember these parts as clearly as others, but I heard Autumn speaking with a doctor or someone of the nature about my condition and the situation. "So what happened here miss? Did this guy give you some trouble? Quickly! I need to know these things! C'mon!" She was scared. Really scared. About what? Technically, I did get into this on my own. I couldn't blame her for any of what had happened.

"He…he was fighting with my boyfriend…um…I…I mean ex boyfriend. It was all because of me. It's not Tye's fault!!" Oh hell yes! Ex boyfriend??? At least I know that getting my ass kicked wasn't all for nothing. "He just got so angry and punched him, I couldn't stop them! Then he hit Tye in the face and fell down the stairs." Oh yeah…that hurt.

The doctor was silent for a moment and had a very stern, serious, look on his face. Autumn looked away. My vision was so blurry, but I assumed she was crying. "You need to tell me who this other guy is!" She didn't want to. I didn't have to see her to know that.

"Derrick Lesley, he lives on Dapplegray….16727."

"Thank you, miss. You can sit in the waiting area and a nurse will be with you soon to explain the situation." He ran towards me. I felt myself rapidly slipping out of consciousness again when I heard Autumn's voice echo through the hospital lobby.

"Wait! Is he gonna be okay?!" That was a good question…

The doctor ran back to the group of doctors and nurses surrounding me. He started shouting about…something… The sounds pounded in my head. "So what are we looking at!? Come one people, I don't have all day and neither does he!"

One nurse broke the frenzy and started shouting out my injuries. They didn't sound too good. "Severe head trauma! Looks like a broken nose and fractured jaw."

The next nurse spoke up. "At least four broken or bruised ribs." It was sounding worse by the minute. "And a broken arm." They were all so rushed. I barely had time to process what was going on.

One of the trauma physicians turned to me as they rolled me to the urgent care bay. "Hey! Come on buddy! Talk to me! Gotta keep you awake!" Why? When all I wanted to do was sleep. "Come one kid, what's your name!?"

"My…..n…name….?" I was coming to, at least for the moment. I think he wanted to see how bad the head injuries were. I struggled to force my name out when I couldn't breathe. "My name…is…T-Tye…." Well at least I know I'm alive haha… "Where is she? What happened to Autumn?" That's right… I was with the crazy girl. "Is she okay…?" Why the hell I'm I worrying about her when I'm the one in hospital?

"That's good. Good. You mean that girl that came in with you? She's fine. A little shaken but she's okay. Pretty worried about you, though." Really? She's worried about me? "You'll be fine kid. Don't you worry. She'll be able to talk to you a little later okay? For now, you just need to keep talking." Problem was, I was too tired to talk to the guy. All I really wanted to do was sleep.

"Why can't I just sleep for a second….?"

"You have to stay with me, kid. Just for a few more minutes. Then you'll get all the sleep you want okay? Not much longer."

"Hey, guys! We've gotta move him upstairs, okay? There's a possibility of internal bleeding. The ER's gonna need check him out. Let's move people!" Autumn tried to sit calmly in her seat in the waiting area, but as soon as she saw my being rolled to the emergency elevators, she started screaming. At first I couldn't hear her to well until she ran closer to us.

"TYE!!!"

"What….? Au-Autumn?"
